Notesipper is built so this page can be very short.
The summary
We collect nothing. We send nothing. We track nothing. Notesipper is a local text editor. Your documents stay on your Mac unless you explicitly save or share them. The app makes no network requests.
What's actually on disk
- Your text files — wherever you choose to save them. We don't read, copy, index, or transmit them.
-
App preferences stored locally inside Notesipper's
sandbox container at
~/Library/Containers/com.notesipper.Notesipper/. This includes window size, font, zoom level, encoding default, word-wrap toggle, and a flag that records whether you've already seen the "Make Notesipper your default editor?" prompt. - macOS recent-documents list (the standard system menu) — handled entirely by macOS, not by us.
Network usage
Notesipper has no com.apple.security.network.client or
com.apple.security.network.server entitlement. The app
is technically incapable of opening a network socket. There is no
analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no update checker, no telemetry of
any kind.
Third-party services
None. There are no third-party SDKs in Notesipper's binary.
Children
Notesipper does not collect any data, so it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.
Your rights
Because Notesipper doesn't collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal data, there's no data of yours for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. Your data lives entirely on your device, and you can move or delete it using Finder.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the new version will appear at this URL with a fresh "Last updated" date. Any future change will continue to honour the principle: nothing leaves your Mac.
